By decision of the FIU, BB Trade Estonia OÜ is, under operating licence No. FVT000209, prohibited from accepting any additional assets (including fiat funds and crypto-assets) from existing clients or from entering into business relationships with new clients. The partial suspension of the operating licence does not affect the return or withdrawal of assets by existing clients.
By the same decision, the FIU ordered BB Trade Estonia OÜ to bring its operations into compliance with the conditions required for holding the operating licence.
The partial suspension of the operating licence will remain in effect until the FIU has verified that the company complies with the conditions for the licence. The company has 30 days to bring its operations into compliance with legal requirements. If it fails to do so, the law obliges the FIU to revoke the operating licence.
The precept was issued, among other grounds, pursuant to Section 75(1)(4) of the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Act and Section 43 of the General Part of the Economic Activities Code Act.
If clients of BB Trade Estonia OÜ are unable to recover their assets, they have the right to contact the police authorities in their country of residence.
